A little about the Graphic Artist

My Dad, Terry Townsend, has devoted the last six years of his life photographing, researching, and writing about his passion, his love of deer hunting, into the culmination of this book. I have spent the last two years in the design, layout and digital production of it. I have learned a lot about the whitetail deer, deer hunting, and everything that it entails; but more importantly for me, I have learned a lot about my Dad. I am much impressed and prouder than I've ever been to be able to say "that's my Dad." The experience of working on this book with him has been priceless, and I am so very proud to have been a part of it.

I have been in the printing industry for the past 12 years and in digital prepress for the last 8 of those. Graphic art and design, computer graphics, photo retouching: "It is what I do." Always challenging, always rewarding, that's why I love it. Dad's book has been by far, one of the most challenging and rewarding things I've ever done professionally.
